When people expect their memory to fade with age, they produce so-called. self-fulfilling prophecy, found scientists at the University of North Carolina. Experts studied the elderly, divided into two groups - between 60 and 70 years and between 71 and 82 years. Researchers found that people who do not believe in negative stereotypes that memory loss occurs naturally in later life, and think positively, do better on tests of memory. Experts also found that the weaker results give seniors who worry about how they look in the eyes of others. Think positively and avoid concerns scientists recommend.
