Longevity gene - VitoSlim - Lose Weight, Be Slim

Gene variation that helps people can live to a ripe old age depends on the preservation of memory and mental abilities, according to a U.S. study cited by the BBC. Longevity gene makes more fatty cholesterol plaque in the blood. Thereby causing fatty deposits in blood vessels associated with brain damage, strokes and heart attacks, reported the journal Neurology.

The study has included nearly 300 Ashkenazi Jews, transfer the 70's, 80's and 90's. For participants aged 90 years who have longevity genes, there were 2 times more likely their brains to function better than other players who do not have that gene variation. The results of their participation in tests for memory and alertness were better. In addition, for those who become centenarians were three times more likely to have the same genetic variation than the 70-year-old participants.

The chief author of the study, the Director of the Institute for Research on Aging at New York Medical College Albert Einstein Brasilia Nir said that the same gene variation appears to protect against Alzheimer's disease.
