Everyone has days when eating too much. But if you're always so hungry that you can not eat something, there may be a medical explanation.
American Medical Library offers these possible causes excessive hunger, called "hyperphagia" (bulimia without vomiting) and polifagiya (excessive hunger and intake of large amounts of food)
- Anxiety
- Eating disorders such as bulimia
- Diabetes mellitus, including gestational diabetes
- Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia).
- Premenstrual syndrome (PMS).
- Thyroid problems such as disease?
- Side effects of drugs, including steroids and some antidepressants
