The few extra pounds can actually be beneficial, says a Canadian study.
Scientists rub it too weak and too fat people die earlier than those with several more in Kielce. These people actually live even more than people with normal weight.
"It is not surprising that obese people and those with lower weight die early, surprising is that if you are a little fuller than normal is actually better," says a study conducted by researchers David Fiyni.
But another researcher Mark Kaplan points out that this does not mean people with normal weight to start to gain weight.
The study focuses on mortality, not the lifestyle, the researchers explain.
The study is based on the comparison between body mass index and mortality among 11,326 adults in Canada for 12 years. During this period from 1994/95 to 2006 / 7 years probability of people with low weight to die was 70% more, in these obese with 30% more.
The rate in people with mild obesity was only 17. The risk in people with normal weight was almost the same as in those with obesity.
